Welcome! Orléans School of Art and Design has signed student exchange agreements in Europe through the Erasmus+ program, in Quebec through the BCI program and outside Europe. Students interested in an exchange programme at Orléans School of Art and Design are invited to apply for a semester or a full year, only if both institutions have signed an exchange agreement.

Admission requirements

Incoming students at Orléans School of Art and Design must have completed at least one full academic year at their home institution. Our school welcomes incoming students from the 2nd to 4th year of study for the first semester and only in the 2nd year of study for the second semester. Incoming students can also spend a full academic year in the 2nd year.

Terms and conditions

  • During your stay at Orléans School of Art and Design, you remain a student at your home university and you are exempt from registration fees.
  • You will be given a special welcome and administrative and teaching support.
  • You can apply for accommodation in a student residence.
  • The academic recognition of your mobility is made easier thanks to the ECTS system.

Language requirement

Most courses are given in French and it is preferable that students are able to communicate in our language. However, although this cannot be considered a rule, some teachers communicate easily in English to international students. For example, the Creative Coding course is taught in either French or English.

Students also benefit from an agreement with the Institut de français of the University of Orléans that offers French classes at all levels for exchange students. The semester course costs only 65€ per student. Students are divided into 4 levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Superior. Each student can take 1 written French course and/or 1 oral French course. Classes take place in the evening from 17:30 to 19:00. To register, fill out the form and contact anne-claire.mauny@univ-orleans.fr
