The École supérieure d’art et de design d’Orléans (ESAD Orléans), the CBM research institute (Centre for Molecular Biophysics) of the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) and LE STUDIUM Loire Valley Institute for Advanced Studies are offering an ARTS-SCIENCES Artist Residency.

HOSTING STRUCTURES

LE STUDIUM Loire Valley Institute for Advanced Studies
At the heart of research and innovation in the Centre-Val de Loire region, the institute proposes and implements innovative programmes to promote international interdisciplinary scientific exchanges and stimulate fundamental research. LE STUDIUM links with a rich network of regional partners including higher education institutions, research centres and industries. Its diversified portfolio of actions offers a vision open to the world and science. A true place of intellectual and scientific dialogue, it welcomes highlevel international talents in a multidisciplinary environment of excellence and leads an international scientific learning community focused on understanding the world, its changes and societal challenges.

The École supérieure d’art et de design d’Orléans is a higher education institution for the arts, under the educational supervision of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
ESAD Orléans’ artistic and scientific project focuses on the challenges of the digital environment, at the intersection of technological, industrial, ecological and political issues. ESAD Orléans’ training policy is based on the gradual linking of teaching and research in the three cycles offered by the school, and on the introduction of a strong artistic dimension to design.

The Centre de Biophysique Moléculaire (CBM) – CNRS
The Centre for Molecular Biophysics is a CNRS research unit (UPR CNRS) under the supervision of CNRS Chimie (INC) and secondarily attached to CNRS Sciences Biologiques (INSB). It has an agreement with the University of Orléans and the University of Tours. The CBM conducts research at the interface of chemistry, biology and biophysics, with the aim of understanding the structure, dynamics and interactions of biomacromolecules, from the atomic level to the cell and organism. The fundamental research developed at the CBM closely links to applications in the field of medicine and cosmetics.
The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) is a public multidisciplinary research organisation under the authority of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. The CNRS’s raison d’être is to carry out fundamental research for the benefit of society in all fields of knowledge. To meet the major challenges of the present and the future, its scientists explore life, matter, the Universe and the workings of human societies. Internationally recognised for the excellence of its scientific work.
