Administrative Registration Requirements

Procedure for applicants seeking recognition of prior learning

Admission is open to applicants holding a French or foreign higher education qualification (BTS, Licence, DNMADE, DNA, Bachelor’s, Master’s, etc.), preferably in the arts (180 credits).

Admission of students to the postgraduate apprenticeship programme is subject to the recommendation of a postgraduate equivalence committee and, if approved, to the recommendation of an admissions committee for the apprenticeship programme.

This second committee, which includes members of the ‘CFA des universités’, must decide on the student’s ability to join the postgraduate programme at ÉSAD Orléans, and on ÉSAD Orléans’ ability to guide the student’s work towards the DNSEP, equivalent to a Master’s degree, within a work-study context alternating between a professional setting and the school.

Admission of students to the postgraduate apprenticeship programme is subject to the recommendation of a postgraduate equivalence committee and, if approved, to the recommendation of an admissions committee for the apprenticeship programme.

This second committee, which includes members of the CFA des universités, must assess the student’s ability to join the postgraduate programme at ÉSAD Orléans, and ÉSAD Orléans’ ability to guide the student’s work towards the DNSEP, equivalent to a Master’s degree, within a work-study context alternating between a professional setting and the school.

Progression to the DNSEP ALTERNANCE at ÉSAD Orléans, therefore, requires both the approval of the Admissions Committee and the Work-Study Committee, as well as the attainment of 180 credits.

This is why applicants for the work-study programme are asked to submit two copies of their cover letter:

– one for the Admissions Committee (initial training)

– one for the Work-Study Committee (apprenticeship training)

Entry levels during the course are governed by the recommendations of the Ministry of Culture.
